LM Lighting ups its audio capabilities with brand new Sennheiser EW-DX Dante System

UK – LM Lighting, a company providing comprehensive theatrical technical services, has upgraded its audio equipment line-up with the latest Sennheiser EW-DX Dante system to better meet the growing demands of its clients.

Luke Marino, owner of LM Lighting, recognized the need to expand his company’s equipment. He said,

I chose the EW-DX Dante gear because we needed to increase our current offerings. The EW-DX EM4 is impressive for its cost, featuring Dante, built-in antenna distribution, and a unit PSU, while also being highly scalable.

This feature set allows for quick and easy rack configuration, simplifying workflow and speeding up gear preparation based on client needs.

Marino’s choice of the EW-DX system was also heavily influenced by the need for network integration for management software. After extensively researching different products, he found the EW-DX system to be the best fit. He explained,

"The Dante option and the high-end 3-pin Lemo connector available on the belt pack at an affordable cost, compared to something like the Digital 6000 series, won me over."

Marino also expressed his satisfaction with the service from A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd.

"I've always received excellent service from AC-ET, both in past roles and with my own company. They’re local, have a great team, and offer fantastic technical support. Even when the product was delayed by the manufacturer, Steve Eaton from A.C. kept me informed and arranged loan equipment to fulfil a job in March. This level of service went above and beyond."

Luke has already put the Sennheiser EW-DX system to work for LM Lighting, using it to record audio for a live theatre filming in Didcot. It will also feature in an upcoming production of 'The Wizard of Oz' at Cornerstones Art Centre. Additionally, LM Lighting has a youth production of ‘The Lion King’ in July, where 24 channels of radio mics will be used simultaneously.
